Jimmy Buchan, a respected leader and lifelong advocate for the UK seafood sector, has been formally admitted to the “Freedom of the City of London”, following his recent admittance as a Liveryman in the Worshipful Company of Fishmongers.
This prestigious honour recognises Jimmy’s decades of dedication to the seafood industry, from his early days at sea to his leadership in shaping the future of the supply chain.
The ceremony took place at London’s historic Guildhall, where Jimmy was proudly accompanied by his family, including his two daughters, who travelled to witness the occasion.
Jimmy became a Liveryman in March 2025, and his admittance to the Freedom of the City marks a significant milestone in a career defined by service, innovation, and passion for the seafood trade.
