Fishermen led Workshops to Identify Training Needs for Net Zero Fishing Vessels in the Clyde
Fisheries Innovation & Sustainability and The Clyde Fishermen’s Trust are conducting a series of fishermen-led workshops aimed at identifying the training and skills gaps that are preventing the transition to zero-emission vessels in the Firth of Clyde.
The workshops will take place in Campbeltown and Glasgow and provide an opportunity for coastal communities to engage in discussions and gain a better understanding of local needs and capacities for participation in a decarbonised modern seafood industry.
An invitation has been extended to individuals who can contribute to these discussions and provide input for the creation of a report that will serve as the foundation for future initiatives.
The Glasgow workshop will be held on Friday, 17 March 2023 from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm at the Strathclyde Innovation Center. The Campbeltown workshop will be held on Saturday, 18 March 2023 from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm at the Campbeltown Town Hall.
