Poor weather conditions are hampering fishing efforts right around the coast today as Storm Ciara continues to have effect.

Weather Warnings are still in place and it looks unlikely there will be much improvement before midweek.

In Ireland, Met Éireann has a Status Orange Gale Warning remains in place with Westerly gales or strong gales today and tonight on all Irish coastal waters and on the Irish Sea. Winds are forecasted to occasionally reaching storm force 10 on coasts from Valentia to Erris Head to Malin Head.

In the UK, the Met Office has a Yellow Wind and Snow warning in place until midnight on Tuesday.

Winds along most coasts are westerly in direction, ranging ftom gale force 6 to 8, reaching gale force 9 to 10 in some coastal areas. Heavy rain, hail and occasional snow is to be expected.

Seas are rough to very rough, as the the end of Storm Ciara passes through.
