The news from the Kilmore Fishing Quay Fleet is that the search for the missing crew member of a fishing boat from their fleet remains ongoing.

So far one fisherman has died and RNLI crews and Irish Coast Guard personnel, along with local trawlers are searching for a second man after the trawler went missing last night off the southeast coast around Hook Head.

The alert came from the fishing vessels Emergency Position-Indicating Radio Beacon (EPIRB) late last night.

It was confirmed by Gardaí earlier that a man in his 60s, who was recovered from the water in the early hours this morning by the emergency services, has unfortunately died at University Hospital Waterford.

Hopes and prayers are with the family, friends, the community of Kilmore Quay and the searchers that they can find the missing fisherman.
