Although most of the Kilkeel fleet has been tied-up in harbour for the past two weeks, Sea Source – Anifpo are still operating and contributing in the fight against the spread of the coronavirus in Northern Ireland

Essential staff are still working at the harbour and the Sea Source Seafood Shop is still open for orders. In what the organisation calls “a small token of thanks to NHS staff” the Seafood Shop will maintain a 20% discount and free home delivery to NHS staff for the duration of the COVID-19 outbreak.

Profits made in the Sea Source shop go back into the harbour in Kilkeel, where it is used to sustain quayside prices for their members but the organisation wanted to do more for those volunteering on the front line.

Not alone are Sea Source offering NHS workers a discount and free home delivery, they are contributing to the fight against the coronavirus.

“We have already assisted with the purchase of small amounts of medical supplies and going forward we pledge to donate further surplus profits from the shop to assist the NHS at local and regional level, based upon the expert advice of medical practitioners,” says the organisation.

“Over the past few days we have sought opinions from NHS staff as to what more we can do to help? “Their advice: Stay Home. Protect the NHS. Save lives.”
