A public consultation has been launched on the proposed Arklow Bank Wind Park

Irish Sea-Fisheries Protection Authority 2023

Sure Partners Limited, a wholly-owned subsidiary of SSE, is proposing the development of the Arklow Bank Wind Park.

The current focus of Sure Partners Limited is to conduct site surveys within the Foreshore Licence Area for the Arklow Bank Wind Park. These surveys are part of an ongoing schedule to maintain up-to-date baseline information for the site. To ensure that this environmentally responsible project aligns with the best interests of the local community and environment, a public consultation has been initiated.

 

Location and Duration

The Arklow Bank Wind Park is planned to be situated off the coast of Wicklow, County Wicklow. As part of this consultation, you are invited to express your views and concerns.

 

Your Participation Matters

This is an opportunity for the public to participate in the decision-making process. The consultation is open under Regulation 42 of the European Communities (Birds and Natural Habitats) Regulations 2011. The process allows for a 30-day review period starting from November 1, 2023, and concluding on December 1, 2023, at 5.30 PM.

Wicklow Library: The Mall, Main Street, Wicklow Town, Co. Wicklow, A67 X504. Open Monday, Wednesday, Friday, and Saturday from 10 AM to 5 PM, and Tuesday and Thursday from 10 AM to 8.30 PM.

Arklow Garda Station: Abbey Street, Arklow, Co. Wicklow, Y14 H392. Open 24 hours.

Arklow Library: 7 Main Street, Arklow, Co. Wicklow, Y14 PY61. Open Monday, Wednesday, Friday, and Saturday from 10 AM to 5 PM, and Tuesday and Thursday from 10 AM to 8.30 PM.
