Minister for Agriculture, Food and the Marine, Michael Creed TD, on the phone to the EU Fisheries Commissioner today.

Acting Minister for Agriculture, Food and the Marine, Michael Creed, TD, confirmed that he spoke to the EU Commissioner with responsibilities for Fisheries, Virginijus Sinkevicius today.

Although he did not disclose the conversation he did tweet that he outlined the difficulties facing the Irish Fishing industry to the Commissioner.

He also explained that he outlined the need for EU support and reiterated the importance of maintaining the EU Food Supply chains during the current COVID-19 crisis.
