The Icelandic total catch for June 2020 has been estimated to be 62,000 tonnes

The catch for Icelandic vessels in June 2020 was about 62,000 tonnes which is nearly double the catch of June 2019 according to Statistics Iceland.

The total catch of demersal species was 23% higher than in June last year. Pelagic catch was 22.3 thousand tonnes, while no pelagic species were caught in June 2019.

Total catch in the 12 month period from July 2019 to June 2020 amounted to 999 thousand tonnes which is 7% less than in the same period one year earlier.

The value index of catch in June 2020 is 38.2% higher than in June 2019.
