Gale Warnings remain in place as conditions continue to remain very unsettled over Saturday.

There is a Low Pressure situated southeast of Iceland 957 losing its identity by midnight tonight. However new lows are expected Shannon 1007 and Bailey 987 by the time the Icelandic Low decreases, therefore bringing continued storm conditions.

In Ireland, Met Éireann has a Status Yellow Gale Warning remains in place for all Marine Craft and Small Craft. Westerly winds will reach gale or strong gale force on all Irish coastal waters and on the Irish Sea today.

The Met Office (UK) has forecasted winds in the Malin Head and Rockall areas to be mainly westerly, force 7 to 9 but occasionally reaching storm force 10 but decreasing 4 to 6 later. Seas are high or very high becoming very rough or high later. The strong winds are accompanied by squally showers. Visibility is poor

The Shannon sea area will experience westerly winds severe gale force 9 decreasing gale force 8 imminent, backing southwesterly and increasing severe gale force 9 later, Westerly or southwesterly winds, 6 to gale force 8, occasionally severe gale 9 later in south, becoming cyclonic 3 to 5 in north. The sea state will be high, occasionally very rough later. Rain on the forecast with visibility presenting itself as poor.

In the Fastnet sea area it is forecasted for southwesterly gale force 8 continuing. West or southwest 6 to gale force 8, decreasing 4 or 5 for a time, then perhaps severe gale force 9 later. Seas are rough or very rough in the northeast, very rough or high in the southwest. Weather is for rain with moderate or poor visibility.

Southwesterly gale force 8 continuing in the Lundy sea area. Winds west or southwest 6 to gale force 8, decreasing 4 or 5 for a time, then perhaps severe gale force 9 later. Sea is rough or very rough. Rain with visibility moderate or poor.

Irish Sea will see southwesterly severe gale force 9 decreasing gale force 8 imminent. Winds will be west or southwest 6 to gale force 8, decreasing 3 to 5 later.

Seas are rough or very rough, becoming slight or moderate later in the north. Weather is showery with visibility good to occasionally poor.
