Europe's Greatest Fishing Exhibition
From 7 to 9 October 2025, the Aalborg Kongres & Kultur Center in Denmark will once again become the focal point for the global fishing, aquaculture, and maritime industries. DanFish International, now in its 29th edition, has grown from a regional trade fair into one of the sector’s most influential meeting points, where business deals are signed, technologies are launched, and industry relationships are forged.
Tickets for this year’s event are available online at discounted rates until 6 October, with a day pass costing DKK 160 and a three-day ticket DKK 260. Visitors who purchase at the door will pay DKK 200 and DKK 300 respectively. Pre-registration also ensures faster access on the day, bypassing queues at one of the busiest international fisheries exhibitions on the calendar.
A Market Platform Built Over Five Decades
First held in 1974, DanFish was conceived to serve Denmark’s fishing industry, but it quickly established itself as a marketplace for suppliers and buyers far beyond Scandinavia. Over the decades, it has expanded in both scope and scale, now drawing more than 400 exhibitors from every corner of the world. Today, it competes with major trade events in Europe and Asia, offering a concentrated, high-value environment for commercial activity.
This longevity matters. In an industry facing economic pressures, shifting regulations, and rapid technological change, DanFish remains one of the few spaces where the full supply chain—skippers, fishermen, shipyards, marine engineers, electronics specialists, safety experts, and processing companies—come together under one roof. The result is a dense network of deal-making, problem-solving, and technical exchange.
Commercial Opportunities In 2025
The 2025 edition will feature not only the core fishing sector but also a renewed emphasis on aquaculture. The reintroduction of DanAqua after an eight-year absence signals a recognition that aquaculture technology and services are now essential parts of the global seafood economy. Running alongside will be the NordicRAS Conference, drawing specialists in recirculating aquaculture systems and related engineering.
For exhibitors, the appeal is straightforward: direct access to purchasing decision-makers. Visitors are typically senior operators—skippers looking for new gear, processors upgrading plant machinery, shipyards sourcing components, and port authorities scouting technology for vessel services. Unlike consumer shows, DanFish is firmly trade-oriented, and its audience comes with budgets and procurement plans in hand.

Strategic Location And International Reach
Aalborg’s location in North Jutland gives the event a strong maritime identity. Its proximity to working harbours such as Skagen and Strandby underlines the authenticity of the setting, while transport links make it accessible to global attendees.

The Place To Launch, Sell, And Learn
In recent years, DanFish has become a launchpad for innovations in vessel design, fuel efficiency, electronic monitoring, and safety systems. Companies use the show to unveil new products to a receptive, technically literate audience, while buyers get the chance to compare competing solutions side-by-side. The seminar and presentation programme—covering topics from green transition strategies to regulatory changes—adds a layer of industry intelligence that informs investment decisions long after the event closes.
For businesses looking to maintain relevance in a competitive and evolving market, DanFish International offers more than exhibition space. It provides the context in which reputations are built, partnerships are formalised, and future strategies are shaped.
