Norwegian boat builder Grovfjord Båtbyggeri A/S has delivered a new 11-metre (36ft) fishing vessel to Olsen Coastal Fishing based in Svolvær on the island of Austvågøya in the Lofoten archipelago.
Although small in stature, Grovfjord Båtbyggeri believes that the boat is one of the most equipped fishing boats for its size.
The delivery of the new fishing vessel was late due to the COVID-19 pandemic and the Russian invasion of Ukraine. The builder says:
“Finally, we were able to deliver ‘Henriette’ to Olsen Coastal Fishing with Kjell Anders and Håkon Olsen at the forefront,” writes Grovfjord Båtbyggeri A/S.
“We just have to realize that delivery was a good part after the desired delivery time. Unfortunately, this is the case when delivery of some main components fails. Just have to apologize to the shipping company and thank them for a fantastic cooperation and understanding of problems that have been through.
“We believe that we have delivered a fantastically well-equipped boat. Perhaps the most equipped 11-metre that has ever been built.”
Certainly, the vessel is compact but from the photos, it seems very well thought out inside.
The boat builders concluded by saying, “We would also like to thank all our subcontractors for their good cooperation throughout the construction period. And especially that Kjell Anders had faith and trust in us. By the way, he has been our customer for almost 30 years. As we can see from the crew on board, there is good recruitment in the Olsen family. The first boat they had built had with us was Tor Angell.
“We wish them good luck with their new boat.”
