Peterhead fishing vessel, Audacious BF83, has installed a Scantrol SYM7 Autotrawl System

Audacious BF83, owned by DonFishing company in Peterhead and skippered by David Gatt, has successfully undergone a major upgrade.

Scantrol, a leading provider of innovative control solutions, announced the successful installation of its cutting-edge SYM7 Autotrawl system on Audacious BF83, upgrading the existing Pentagon CBUS Autotrawl.

The initiative, in collaboration with Nordkontakt AS and Scantrol SYM7 R&D team, has expanded the range of upgrade kits to accommodate both electric and hydraulic versions of Pentagon Autotrawls. This marks a significant milestone as Audacious BF83 becomes the inaugural vessel to adopt Scantrol SYM7 as an upgrade for the Pentagon CBUS system.

The upgrade process, including installation, commissioning, and sea trials, was completed with remarkable efficiency. The installation took merely one day, and the vessel was declared ready for sea trials the very next day, showcasing the seamless integration of Scantrol’s SYM7 Autotrawl system.

Skipper and part owner David Gatt expressed his satisfaction after a successful sea trial, highlighting the enhanced functionality and support offered by the Scantrol Autotrawl solution. Gatt, having prior experience with Scantrol Autotrawl on his previous vessels, commended the system for meeting his specific requirements.

A special acknowledgment was extended to David Gatt and Barry Reid at DonFishing for their confidence in Scantrol Autotrawl. The Scantrol team expressed gratitude for the opportunity to support DonFishing and emphasized their commitment to providing ongoing assistance.
